Crossing Paths with Cydney Clanton
An experience your team will talk about long after the last putt drops.
One of the greatest privileges of working with the LPGA Tour has been meeting people who leave a lasting impact. Cydney Clanton is one of those people.
I’ve had the chance to work with her and get to know her personally. Beyond her career highlights—LPGA Tour winner, 3x Epson Tour winner, and multiple Top-25 finishes—it’s who she is off the course that stands out most. During the week MPGA supported the Epson Tour event, Cydney was leading a weekly Bible study for the players. She invited me and my team, knowing I shared her faith in Christ. That simple invitation, and the way she welcomed us inside the ropes, is something I’ll never forget.
Today, Cydney is stepping into a new chapter—building relationships and creating meaningful experiences through golf and business. Imagine playing 18 holes alongside a professional who’s competed at the highest level. You’ll hear stories from inside the ropes, pick up insights on how a pro approaches the game, and walk away with lessons that go beyond golf.
“Cydney’s presence brought a unique blend of professionalism, approachability, and inspiration that truly elevated the day. Clients were thrilled to interact with someone at the top of the game—asking questions, picking up tips, and sharing stories throughout the round. It wasn’t just about golf; it was about building stronger relationships and creating a memorable, first-class experience our clients will be talking about for a long time.” – Brian Kester, New Process | Territory Manager
The Connection to Mindset
Golf is more than swings and scores—it’s a test of presence. Pressure moments, whether on the course or in business, often pull you toward the past (mistakes you’ve made) or the future (what you fear might happen). Both take you away from the only thing that matters—the shot in front of you.
One of the best mental performance strategies I teach is to anchor yourself in the moment by asking:
“What’s the one thing I can control right now?”
Research in sport psychology supports this:
Controllables vs. Uncontrollables: Athletes who focus on controllables (routine, breath, focus, attitude, commitment, and effort) show lower stress and greater consistency than those focused on uncontrollables (score, outcome, opponents). This is tied to decades of research on locus of control and resilience.
For Cydney, this mindset showed up under pressure. Instead of chasing outcomes, she trusted her process—her breath, her routine, her commitment to the shot in front of her. That allowed her to stay consistent, even with external expectations.
These same shifts apply in business. Whether you’re on the first tee or sitting across from a client, staying focused on what you can control keeps you confident, steady, and present.
Final Thought
The experience of playing with Cydney is more than just a round of golf—it’s an experience that will stay with you forever. You see firsthand how a tour professional thinks, competes, and connects, and those lessons carry over into every area of life.
Typically, a round with a tour pro of Cydney’s caliber is tens of thousands for a corporate pro-am event inside the ropes. However, as Cydney transitions into a new role in life, we can create an experience that’s both unforgettable and meaningful for our next corporate outing. How cool would that be?!
I’ve seen how her presence elevates the experience. She brings stories, insights, and a mindset that inspires everyone she plays with. By the end of 18 holes, it won’t feel like just another round—it will feel like a shared experience that builds connection, trust, and a lasting impact.
Create memories with Cydney. Turn one round of golf into an experience your team will talk about long after the last putt drops.
